Construction site safety
Among its services, stC S.r.l. engineering group supports the Client with regards to construction site safety in compliance with Legislative Decrees 494/96 and 528/99 (and further modifications); a precious aid not only to comply with the regulations in force, but also to guarantee the highest levels of safety at work.
Safety and Co-ordinating Plan
stC S.r.l. engineering group draws up a Safety and Co-ordinating Plan according to art. 12 of Legislative Decree 494/96. Together with the site main supervisors, the group co-ordinates the prevention measures concerning the existing risks and it works with the appointed representatives of sub-contractors and with the Authorities (ASL, District Department of Labour, INAIL, ISPESL, etc.) for all the site duration.
The Safety and Co-ordinating Plan includes risk determination, analysis and assessment with the corresponding procedures, cost-estimate, preparation and equipment to guarantee that the rules for accident prevention and health at work are respected .
In this view, the professional staff of stC S.r.l. engineering group is authorised to play the following roles:
- co-ordinator of project in progress: he draws up a Safety and Co-ordinating Plan, prepares a file containing data useful for prevention and risk protection at work;
- co-ordinator of works in progress: he verifies with suitable co-ordinating and control actions that sub-contractors and self-employed workers implement the provisions set forth in the Safety and Co-ordinating Plan and the corresponding work procedures, he verifies that sub-contractors adapt, if necessary, their specific safety plans, he organises among employers (including self-employed workers) job co-operation and co-ordination as well as their mutual data transmission; he verifies that the agreements between management and labour are implemented in order to co-ordinate the safety representatives with the aim to improve the construction site safety, he reports the Client or the Construction Manager on the non-respect of provisions and regulations of the Safety Plan, he stops - in case of serious or impending danger - the activity in progress till any correction is adopted by the involved companies.
These positions are held by qualified engineers and supported by a valid staff.
