Design of electrical installations
Any electrical installation shall comply with the current standards and regulations in force and provide for the best technical and economic solution to the Clients advantage.
stC S.r.l. engineering group can support the Client from the technical and regulatory point of view with regards to the construction of an electrical installation based on the rule of the art, starting from the project to the works management.
With regards to the operations, the main steps of a standard work are the following:
- analysis of the papers issued by the Client;
- accomplishment of the Clients personal needs emerging from the survey executed by our engineers;
- classification of the premises in compliance with IEC standards;
- short description of installations and working cycle;
- preparation of the installations layout under project;
- wiring diagrams of the switchboards;
- explanatory report of the included works;
- calculations, dimensioning and co-ordination of protection tools;
- design of safety systems (gas, smoke, intrusion detection, etc.);
- drafting of a quantity survey including the qualities of the necessary instruments and materials;
- construction management;
- implementation of compulsory procedures for the appointed authorities.
Controls and inspections
Controls and inspections of the installations including:
- Zg measurement;
- Icc measurement;
- waveform control;
- measurement of harmonic factors;
- insulation test;
- PE continuity check;
- check of differential protections;
- visual check;
- electromagnetic test.
Risk analysis on lightning strike probability - design of facilities protection against thunderbolts
The risk assessment relevant to thunderbolt allows to choose protection measures which are more risk-oriented, more effective and less expensive in technical and economic terms. A rule-of-the-art protection system can significantly reduce the risk of damages provoked by thunderbolts to facilities, persons and goods. stC S.r.l. engineering group can propose the Client the most appropriate solutions while respecting the benefit-to-cost ratio:
- design of protection tools against thunderbolts;
- choice of the components most suitable for protection.
Classification of premises with explosion risks due to the presence of gas, dust and mists
The explosion risk assessment includes the drafting of an assessment document in compliance with legal provisions, the distribution of those areas where explosive atmospheres can be formed, a check list drafting to verify the electrical facilities existing only in the classified areas and the drafting of a check document with the provisions to be implemented at work.
