Machines have accompanied human beings during their history and have helped them to deal with natural forces and to submit them with the purpose to improve human life.
Machines have also played a primary role in the industrial revolution, of which they have become a positive as well as a negative symbol because they are permanently associated with the idea of progress and risk of use as well.
It is sure that the great community effort to build up a European Single Market without technical barriers and, mainly, in compliance with “health and safety of persons” could not neglect law harmonisation in this wide and difficult sector.
After the implementation of the machinery directive (D.P.R. 459/96), machinery intended to be used by workers and/or consumers shall comply with the fundamental safety standards.

EC Marking
stC S.r.l. engineering group offers its technical consulting services for EC marking of machinery. The group works together with the Client to draw up the technical file and the maintenance and use manual and offers its services to the manufacturers (charged of the products EC marking) by helping them in the several phases; from the design of safety systems to the consulting services intended to supply these systems.
For manufacturers, machinery safety is a fundamental and necessary element that shall be considered by a team of experts, since manufacturers shall also guarantee the implementation of the reference standards.

Machinery compliance
stC S.r.l. engineering group also proposes its experience to machinery users to contribute to the adjustment process regarding the machinery in use, starting from an accurate risk assessment to the proposal of those adjustments and measures (implementation of safety systems) requested to reduce the risks.
